I promised the secret bark didn’t I? And as DnD is a fantasy RPG, lets make a silver bark. Logs from the silver tree, burns with a calm green flame. Sorry, I got a little carried away, as always.<\/p>\n

So, here it is, and rendered with bump map, so we can see the difference, if any in the logs. I did that in FilterForge<\/a>, using one of my filters, tree bark with a twist<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And I did a light bark, have no clue what tree it is, maybe yet another wonderful tree from the fantasy woods.<\/p>\n

I created two more fire wood pieces in Cheetah3D, one with silver bark and one with light bark. Ah, hate that name, let’s call it Cindereth Elven Wood , so done<\/em>, one with\u00a0Cindereth Elven Wood.<\/p>\n

So, the fire wood with Cindereth Elven Wood bark. Why do I always come up with names so hard to type?<\/em><\/p>\n

Now, I make a copy of each of the four pieces, and use the magnet too, to add bumps and distort the piece a little. As you see on this shot, I had a bleed from the end wood to the log side, so I had to fix that later on.<\/p>\n

And here is the silver tree fire wood piece, same damn bleed, I used the same base piece for both.<\/p>\n

And here is one of the birch fire woods, made it rather bumpy as that is how birch looks, where I live anyway. It also had the same bleed, but you can see it as I cleverly turned that side away from the camera.<\/p>\n

So, what will we do tomorrow? Build nice piles that we can out into baskets, or larger piles to have beside the fire place, or maybe even a fire place wood preset to put into fire places. Well, I have plenty of ideas, only time will stop me.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
