I did, but I want more, much more.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->So, back to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.filterforge.com\/?affiliateid=200100725\" target=\"_blank\">FilterForge<\/a> again.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/dd4-01.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3051\" title=\"dd4-01\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/dd4-01.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"507\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now, were&#8217; gonna use some of the FilterForge 2 features, the <strong>Polygon<\/strong> component. We create four polygons, and why I do this is that the first of each is dark, the second uses a grey color, with a lot of bevel so the result will look a little round, and not 100% flat.\u00a0As you can see we have one vertical and one horizontal line now.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/dd4-02.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3050\" title=\"dd4-02\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/dd4-02.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"593\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now we use a bunch of <strong>Offset<\/strong> components to move the lines, and as you also can see, by connecting the same output to multiple <strong>Offset<\/strong> components, we make instant copies of it. Then we use the <strong>Blend <\/strong>component to blend the parts together. We now got two corners, or what is it?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/dd4-03.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3049\" title=\"dd4-03\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/dd4-03.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"207\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now, we blend those two together, and the use a Noise component to make the result a little less perfect.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/dd4-05.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3047\" title=\"dd4-05\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/dd4-05.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"309\" height=\"272\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As you can see, the <strong>Noise<\/strong> is setup with a very low Distortion (1), just to touch it. I made three of those <em>handles<\/em>, one for the image, one for the height map, and one more, which I will show you tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/dd4-06.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3046\" title=\"dd4-06\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/dd4-06.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"238\" height=\"192\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now we blend together the height map with the height map handles.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/dd4-07.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3045\" title=\"dd4-07\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/dd4-07.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"241\" height=\"337\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I also made a second version of the height map, which has a hatch on one side, you can see the height map for that one together with the normal one here. We use the <strong>Blend <\/strong>component to blend the height map to a black background, lowest height.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/dd4-08.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3044\" title=\"dd4-08\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/dd4-08.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"256\" height=\"295\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Then we use a <strong>Switch<\/strong> component where we can select with or without hatch for our doors. <a title=\"Next Episode\" href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/?p=3054\">Tomorrow<\/a>, we finish this door up, ready to meet the famous phrase &#8220;<em><strong>Kick in tze door!<\/strong><\/em>&#8221; (<em>as Arnold would say<\/em>).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So, we got a height map, and a texture, why didn&#8217;t I just connect the Result component and call it a day?
