{"id":3303,"date":"2010-03-21T07:00:44","date_gmt":"2010-03-21T05:00:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/?p=3303"},"modified":"2010-03-14T00:04:58","modified_gmt":"2010-03-13T22:04:58","slug":"making-bedside-candles-for-the-inn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/?p=3303","title":{"rendered":"Making bedside candles for the inn"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today we&#8217;re gonna make some bedside candles for the more expensive rooms in the inn.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->We start <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cheetah3d.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Cheetah3D<\/a> and create a ball.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/cl01.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3316\" title=\"cl01\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/cl01.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"264\" height=\"277\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now we flatten the ball like a lense.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/cl02.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3315\" title=\"cl02\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/cl02.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"275\" height=\"206\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We make a copy, resize and move the copy up, and use a Boolean remove to create a small plate.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/cl03.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3314\" title=\"cl03\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/cl03.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"274\" height=\"259\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We add a cylinder to that place, in the center, where the candle will go. Now, we create a pipe.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/cl04.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3313\" title=\"cl04\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/cl04.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"428\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We make it thin, and shape it oval instead of round.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/cl05.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3312\" title=\"cl05\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/cl05.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"234\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now we use a Box and \u00a0Boolean remove to remove parts of the squashed pipe.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/cl06.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3311\" title=\"cl06\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/cl06.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"377\" height=\"486\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And the result will be a perfect handle for the candle, opps rhyme was unintended.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/cl07.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3310\" title=\"cl07\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/cl07.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"405\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now, we add another cylinder, the candle stick itself. We create a ball and remove this from the top of the candle to get that used look.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/cl08.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3309\" title=\"cl08\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/cl08.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"188\" height=\"187\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We create another thinner cylinder that we bend, to use as the candlewick.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/cl09.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3308\" title=\"cl09\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/cl09.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"169\" height=\"319\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We add a cone with a semitransparent yellowish color to be the flame.
