I needed some more crates and thought maybe I could use the FilterForge filter I made to make shelves and tables.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->I start by hunting at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cgtextures.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">CGTextures<\/a> for some rough plank images, and came up with these.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/ncr01.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3579\" title=\"ncr01\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/ncr01.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"336\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/ncr02.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3578\" title=\"ncr02\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/ncr02.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"249\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/ncr03.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3577\" title=\"ncr03\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/ncr03.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now, I used one texture I found before, and by using <a href=\"http:\/\/www.omnigroup.com\/applications\/omnigraffle\/\" target=\"_blank\">OmniGraffle<\/a>, I cut pieces of it to use for my crates.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/ncr04.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3576\" title=\"ncr04\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/ncr04.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"252\" height=\"38\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/ncr05.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3575\" title=\"ncr05\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/ncr05.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"252\" height=\"38\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I made 12 different if these, all with the same shape but using different parts of the old wood image. Now, I ran them all through my table filter using <a href=\"http:\/\/www.filterforge.com\/?affiliateid=200100725\" target=\"_blank\">FilterForge<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/ncr06.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3574\" title=\"ncr06\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/ncr06.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"301\" height=\"93\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/ncr07.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3573\" title=\"ncr07\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/ncr07.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"291\" height=\"86\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As you can see, a little bevel, dirt and shadows really makes the difference. So, time to build crates, in OmniGraffle.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/ncr08.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3572\" title=\"ncr08\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/ncr08.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"341\" height=\"341\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/ncr09.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3571\" title=\"ncr09\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/ncr09.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"341\" height=\"337\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I think they look really good.
