{"id":3772,"date":"2010-04-25T07:00:06","date_gmt":"2010-04-25T05:00:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/?p=3772"},"modified":"2010-04-21T11:14:31","modified_gmt":"2010-04-21T09:14:31","slug":"some-random-stuff-made-for-the-neverending-docks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/?p=3772","title":{"rendered":"Some random stuff made for The Neverending Docks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been making some tiles for The Neverending Docks, but mostly I&#8217;ve been using stuff that I&#8217;ve already have made, just using them in other situations.<\/p>\n<p>But, I&#8217;ve also done some fun new things, and I will just show off a few here.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>First, I made two pretty simple fishing rods in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cheetah3d.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Cheetah3D<\/a>, just a Tapered Cylinder, nothing fancy, with the built in old wood texture.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/stuff01.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3780\" title=\"stuff01\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/stuff01.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"74\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/stuff02.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3779\" title=\"stuff02\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/stuff02.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"62\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>What is a shore, a jetty or a pier without fishing rods?<\/p>\n<p>Now I spent the weekend in the cottage installing a new water heater, so I only had my old white MacBook with me, and an older version of Cheetah3D, but I did manage to create an old rusty metal ring for the docks.\u00a0This is the render straight out of Cheetah3D.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/stuff03a.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3781\" title=\"stuff03a\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/stuff03a.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And this is the one that has been scaled to fit the map, and with some shadows added in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.omnigroup.com\/applications\/omnigraffle\/\" target=\"_blank\">OmniGraffle<\/a>. Look close and you can still see the nails holding it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/stuff03.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3778\" title=\"stuff03\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/stuff03.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"60\" height=\"60\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So, I got a little creative, with the new beta of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.filterforge.com\/?affiliateid=200100725\" target=\"_blank\">FilterForge<\/a> 2, and I created a filter to create an old jetty. This will come handy for all the waterfront tiles I&#8217;m working on.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/stuff04.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3777\" title=\"stuff04\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/stuff04.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"133\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I think this looks pretty nice, and old. So, what have I done more?<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve used one of my oldest FilterForge filters to create a dried sea bed, which I will use to make a water texture.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/stuff05.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3775\" title=\"stuff05\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/stuff05.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Using the incredible great filter water caustics by Redcap, I turned that seabed into a vivid shallow water.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/stuff06.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3774\" title=\"stuff06\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/stuff06.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And here is a part of the docks, with fishing rods.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/stuff07.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3776\" title=\"stuff07\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/stuff07.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"390\" height=\"472\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So, this looks like a peaceful dockside.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been making some tiles for The Neverending Docks, but mostly I&#8217;ve been using stuff that I&#8217;ve already have made, just using them in other situations.
