I actually changed the design a little at the end, but the basic design was this.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/hfcls-01.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4204\" title=\"hfcls-01\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/hfcls-01.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"367\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As this is a machine, built in the pulp era, it should have that classic painted metal casing, so I quickly made a filter in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.filterforge.com\/?affiliateid=200100725\" target=\"_blank\">FilterForge<\/a> to make this texture.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/hfcls-02.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4203\" title=\"hfcls-02\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/hfcls-02.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now, the inspiration for all this is a filter by Carl, that is so incredible cool, if you know where to use it, it is called total control, and this is what I got from it. Can you imagine creating something like this by hand? This is the ultimate pulp electronic machine maker. Remind me to use it for the Bletchley park whenever I will make a map or a handout for that.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/hfcls-03.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4202\" title=\"hfcls-03\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/hfcls-03.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now, into FilterForge and find some filters that can generate floor, walls and ceilings that look like they are somewhere ancient, somewhere underground.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/hfcls-04.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4201\" title=\"hfcls-04\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/hfcls-04.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So, a nice floor diffuse map.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/hfcls-05.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4200\" title=\"hfcls-05\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/hfcls-05.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And a floor bump map<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/hfcls-06.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4199\" title=\"hfcls-06\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/hfcls-06.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And some walls.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/hfcls-07.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4198\" title=\"hfcls-07\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/hfcls-07.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And a wall bump map. So, ready to mock up something in Cheetah3D, for this photo to be as realistic as possible.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/hfcls-08.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4197\" title=\"hfcls-08\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/hfcls-08.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here is a render from the scene, with some lights here and there.
