I&#8217;, working on an office style map, and I needed some radiators on the walls, looked too naked. So I tried to find some, but as always, I ended up making them myself instead.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->So, we start with Cheetah3D as always, starting with a cylinder.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/rad1-01.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4213\" title=\"rad1-01\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/rad1-01.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"268\" height=\"334\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We shrink it flat like a coin, and the copy it and move the copy to the left, like two wheels on a bicycle.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/rad1-02.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4212\" title=\"rad1-02\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/rad1-02.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"368\" height=\"581\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now, we create a box, that we fit between the two cylinders, going from center point to center point, and with a width the same as the cylinders diameter. Joining all three elements together.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/rad1-03.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4211\" title=\"rad1-03\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/rad1-03.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"195\" height=\"598\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We taper out joined piece a little.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4210\" title=\"rad1-04\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/rad1-04.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"310\" height=\"571\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now, we create another cylinder, and place it center to center at the top cylinder, sticking out on each side. We copy that and place the copy on the lower cylinder as well.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/rad1-05.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4209\" title=\"rad1-05\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/rad1-05.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"312\" height=\"517\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We join these pieces together to one solid piece.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/rad1-06.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4208\" title=\"rad1-06\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/rad1-06.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"290\" height=\"572\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now, we use the Array tool to make 20 copies of this item, all sitting side by side.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/rad1-07.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4207\" title=\"rad1-07\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/rad1-07.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"372\" height=\"283\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And we got us the basic structure for a radiator (or heater).
