Starting Cheetah3D<\/a> and making a cylinder, with high polygon count, a good start, as this one will be Tapered.<\/p>\n We use the Taper tool, first on one side and then on the other.<\/p>\n Then we create a box, and put it behind the cylinder (or motor).<\/p>\n Using the Bevel tool on edges, we make the gearbox a little softer.<\/p>\n Now, we create a sprocket spline and set the number of teeth to rather high.<\/p>\n We extrude it, then taper the extruded result to get a nice knob.<\/p>\n Placing the knobs on the gear box with a steel texture, and setting a darker texture on the engine, we got this<\/p>\n Now, we create two boxes, give them a copper texture,and place then next to the knobs.<\/p>\n So this is the electric engine, hope it works now.<\/p>\n So, how did the submarine engine map look like?
