Now, we need to create some different items needed to build our market stands.<\/p>\n

I do this piece by piece, and soon we can start to make the presets, that we can use in OmniGraffle<\/a> or Dundjinni<\/a> when making maps. Btw, Dundjinni is moving to a new ISP, that’s why the forum is down, might be gone a week or two but Mindy said it will come up again.<\/p>\n

First, I made a new filter for FilterForge<\/a> the other day, to create buttons, different kind of buttons for phone apps (iOS, Android etc)\u00a0or webpages.<\/p>\n

This is a button made with the GUI Buttons<\/em> filter. Now, I though maybe I can use that filter to create planks for my markets, as it is very versatile and I have some grungy stuff in it too. So here we go, first a few planks without any grunge, just plain planks with a distorted bevel.<\/p>\n

Now, I made a few with Carl’s Grunge activated (I called it so as he was the one who asked for grungy buttons, he is a grungy guy with all his Derelict and Trash filters<\/em>).<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

OK, these are four useful planks, really.<\/p>\n

Now, what do you think of if I say market in Egypt? Carpets and rugs. I found a nice Filter for carpets that I used to render these patterns with.<\/p>\n

Now, using OmniGraffle, I created base textures for carpets to run interesting FilterForge filters on. This one with a white border.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

And this one with a bright red border.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Now, FilterForge again, and one of my new filters that I just did playing around that I called strange artifications<\/em>. It can make something look like planted flowers or felt, or a rug, watch this. Here is one rug,<\/p>\n

and here is another one. I made four different ones totally, as you can see I mix different ones here.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

These will do as carpets, I might make some carpet rolls too, I just need to figure out the best way of making rolled planes in my 3D modeller, or I do the ugly OmniGraffle trick of the eye, but that is another day.<\/p>\n

But, for plain rugs laid out, we need to add, fringes. A quick whipped up FilterForge filter comes to the rescue, making fringes and adding shadows.<\/p>\n
