{"id":5362,"date":"2010-10-23T07:00:37","date_gmt":"2010-10-23T05:00:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/?p=5362"},"modified":"2010-10-10T20:25:05","modified_gmt":"2010-10-10T18:25:05","slug":"making-a-broken-block-of-bricks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/?p=5362","title":{"rendered":"Making a broken block of bricks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For my underground cave, I need some broken pieces of walls, brick walls, and I&#8217;ve been using some pieces I&#8217;ve rendered with Carrara 8 from the Temple Ruins set, but I needed something different.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->So, today is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cheetah3d.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Cheetah3D<\/a> day again, start with a Box.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/block-01.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5373\" title=\"block-01\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/block-01.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"347\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now we select the line on the left, and drag that one to the right, to get a cur corner.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/block-02.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5372\" title=\"block-02\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/block-02.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"446\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now we subdivide the polygons in the cut area, and then we move some back and some forth.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5371\" title=\"block-03\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/block-03.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"468\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We twist some of them to make the broken part even more irregular.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/block-04.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5370\" title=\"block-04\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/block-04.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"436\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now We start <a href=\"http:\/\/www.filterforge.com\/?affiliateid=200100725\" target=\"_blank\">FilterForge<\/a> to make textures. First we make a brick texture with a filter that is pretty good.
