We create another spline object, this time<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/hat401.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5903\" title=\"hat401\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/hat401.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"353\" height=\"351\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We use the Lathe tool and get this.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/hat402.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5902\" title=\"hat402\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/hat402.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"315\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now we add another felt texture to the hat.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/hat403.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5901\" title=\"hat403\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/hat403.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"312\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And after UV-mapping we get this. Then we created a few new textures for the ribbons using <a href=\"http:\/\/www.filterforge.com\/?affiliateid=200100725\" target=\"_blank\">FilterForge<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/hat404.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5900\" title=\"hat404\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/hat404.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"258\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We export the that from Cheetah3D, and when we import into <a href=\"http:\/\/poser.smithmicro.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Poser<\/a>, we try to guess how to scale it, by setting the figure size to 22%.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/hat405.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5899\" title=\"hat405\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/hat405.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"499\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This time it came in at an almost perfect scale.<\/p>\n<p>Now, I realized that as I&#8217;ve added new ribbon textures, the ribbon needed to be UV-mapped using the Cylinder model, so I quickly opened the saved Cheetah3D files, remapped and exported them again. By now, I have learned one good thing to do in Poser while scaling hats. If you hover the house over the skull, you ca see the outline and see how the hat is placed.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/hat406.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5898\" title=\"hat406\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/hat406.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"344\" height=\"254\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And if you then turn the camera 90 degrees, you can check that way too.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/hat407.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5897\" title=\"hat407\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/hat407.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"344\" height=\"310\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So, four hats, all with a better mapped ribbon.
