Lumber for DAZ part two"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last time we made some lumber for DAZ Studio, today we&#8217;re gonna complete that.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->We exported the logs as an .obj and -mat file from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cheetah3d.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Cheetah3D<\/a> and imported the object in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.daz3d.com\/i\/software\/daz_studio3?_m=d\" target=\"_blank\">DAZ Studio 3<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/logs201.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6122\" title=\"logs201\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/logs201.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"172\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We adjust the materials with bumpmaps (which is lost when going through .obj and .mat for some reason. Now we export the log as a pp2 file using the free pp2 export script that I found <a href=\"http:\/\/forum.daz3d.com\/viewtopic.php?p=2152097\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/logs202.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6121\" title=\"logs202\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/logs202.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"355\" height=\"406\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After the export I render a 100&#215;100 image which I will use as the prop icon. You can see the small window on top of the workspace in the screenshot below.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/logs203.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6120\" title=\"logs203\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/logs203.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"435\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So, I decided to make some more barks, so back into <a href=\"http:\/\/www.filterforge.com\/?affiliateid=200100725\" target=\"_blank\">FilterForge<\/a> again using a couple of different filters, here is a nice birch bark, diffuse first.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/logs204.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6119\" title=\"logs204\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/logs204.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Then the bump map.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/logs205.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6118\" title=\"logs205\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/logs205.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And now I use the <a href=\"http:\/\/market.renderosity.com\/mod\/bcs\/index.php?ViewProduct=82532\" target=\"_blank\">MAT Writer<\/a> in <a href=\"http:\/\/poser.smithmicro.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Poser<\/a> to export the different materials, barks and ends that I&#8217;ve done.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/logs206.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6117\" title=\"logs206\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/logs206.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"319\" height=\"456\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here they are, five different ends and five different barks that you can combine in different ways.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/logs207.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6116\" title=\"logs207\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/logs207.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And I did a render with a handful of combinations, all on a wooden floor I&#8217;ve done before.
