{"id":6496,"date":"2011-03-18T07:00:49","date_gmt":"2011-03-18T05:00:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/?p=6496"},"modified":"2011-03-10T23:29:03","modified_gmt":"2011-03-10T21:29:03","slug":"making-texture-mods-for-v4-archer-pants-part-two","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/?p=6496","title":{"rendered":"Making texture mods for V4 Archer pants &#8211; part two"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>OK, today we will continue with the V4 Archer pants, to see where that take us.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/vapants10.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In <a title=\"OmniGraffle\" href=\"http:\/\/www.omnigroup.com\/applications\/omnigraffle\/\" target=\"_blank\">OmniGraffle<\/a>, we also make a bump map layer, adding patches of bump map so the patches will make another fabric look than the pants.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/vapants10.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6504\" title=\"vapants10\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/vapants10.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"399\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now, here are the pants texture map, as you can see, the patches correspond.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/vapants11.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6503\" title=\"vapants11\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/vapants11.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"399\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now we go back to <a title=\"FilterForge\" href=\"http:\/\/www.filterforge.com\/?affiliateid=200100725\" target=\"_blank\">FilterForge<\/a> to make some more textures for this.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/vapants12.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6502\" title=\"vapants12\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/vapants12.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/vapants12.jpg\"><\/a>And we also make bump maps. Some fabrics don&#8217;t have a corresponding fabric so we use a generic one for those.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/vapants13.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6501\" title=\"vapants13\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/vapants13.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So, into <a title=\"Poser\" href=\"http:\/\/poser.smithmicro.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Poser<\/a> and load the V4 Pants character. Then we jump in to the materials room. Here you can see the two maps set up.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/vapants14.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6500\" title=\"vapants14\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/vapants14.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"409\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And here is a screenshot from Poser.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/vapants15.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6499\" title=\"vapants15\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/vapants15.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"333\" height=\"858\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We now export out the different pant MAT poses we made (six of the totally)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/vapants17.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6497\" title=\"vapants17\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/vapants17.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"319\" height=\"149\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/vapants16.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6498\" title=\"vapants16\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/vapants16.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"319\" height=\"135\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As you can see from D<a title=\"DAZ Studio\" href=\"http:\/\/www.daz3d.com\/i\/software\/daz_studio3?_m=d\" target=\"_blank\">AZ Studio<\/a>&#8216;s DAZ script icon in the corner of the material icon, those are setup for DAZ Studio with both a .pz2 file for Poser and a .ds file for DAZ Studio.
