This is no spoiler, you cant miss the bridge unless your character is blind and in that case it will probably be dead already anyway.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>So back into <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cheetah3d.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Cheetah3D<\/a> again and create a Cylinder with the steps set to 16. We then remove a bunch of the polygons, and points too, like \u00a0this.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6956\" title=\"grb101\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/grb101.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"292\" height=\"546\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We continue removing polygons until we have this shape.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6955\" title=\"grb102\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/grb102.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"346\" height=\"567\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now With the help of a cube and some more added polygons, we create this shape for the bridge landing, attached to the bridge. I used the cylinder to have something to work from to create the front part of this.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6954\" title=\"grb103\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/grb103.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"182\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We take a look at it again, so beautiful, Dwarven engineering at its best.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6953\" title=\"grb104\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/grb104.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"213\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now, it does lack someting, textures. So we jump to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cgtextures.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">CGTextures.com<\/a> to pickup some great looking photo based seamlessly tiling textures. The ones shown here are heavily compressed and reduced in size. Click on the textures to get to the CGTextures page.<\/p>\n<p>First a foundation stone, dwarven hand cut as you can see.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cgtextures.com\/texview.php?id=40389\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6952\" title=\"grb105\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/grb105.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Then, using a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.filterforge.com\/?affiliateid=200100725\" target=\"_blank\">FilterForge<\/a> filter called Grunge_Drip, I created this tile. As the filter works top-down, I rotated the image 180 degrees before running the filter, then back.<em> I could have changed the filter but then the author won&#8217;t get his usage points. I might add this as a feature and send it to him, I&#8217;ve already added seamless tiling and then told him to add that.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6951\" title=\"grb106\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/grb106.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p>OK, now the next texture, the bridge road or floor.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cgtextures.com\/texview.php?id=19701\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6950\" title=\"grb107\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/grb107.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And the last one for now, the texture to use around the bridge landings.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cgtextures.com\/texview.php?id=46744\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6949\" title=\"grb108\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/grb108.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After some rather tedious work with UV mapping (yes, I&#8217;m finally getting the hang of it, thanks to tutorials from among others, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jacktomalin.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Jack Tomalin<\/a>, one of my favorite 3D artists.How will it look? Here is a screenshot from the UV mapping of one of the pillars, as you can see now, I added that green slime to look natural where the water line will be.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/grb109.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6948\" title=\"grb109\" src=\"http:\/\/4eyes.code66.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/grb109.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"352\" height=\"420\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So, We&#8217;re done the model and some UV-mapping, whats left?
