We’re back to making tiles today, and we’re making some nasty ones too. Pretty often, he PCs of my campaigns end up in the sewers, mostly because it is pretty safe and a good way to bypass most guards, so today, we will make two smaller tiles that can be used to build sewers.
So, we start the day with starting FilterForge, to crate two textures, one cave floor and one sewage texture.
Using one of my filters this time, cracked stone (multi-tile), we can pretty easy get the result we are looking for.
Here is the cave floor texture, looks pretty nice and unfriendly to me.
Here is the sewage texture. I would not take a swim there, I promise.
So, start up OmniGraffle to assemble some tile. Set the Canvas size to 2″ x 4″, and add some lines so we see the grid. Use white transparent lines.
Now, add the cave floor texture, size it to fit the 2×4 tile, and set it in tiling mode.
Now save the OmniGraffle file, then drag the sewage texture to the cave floor, and OmniGraffle will replace the cave floor texture with the sewage texture.
Save the OmniGraffle file with a new name (sewage tile maybe), and render it.
OK, thats enough tiles, I think we got a complete set now.
