I’m still burning for the fire wood, pun intended. Today, bark time. We’re gonna add the bark textures we did yesterday, making two different looking pieces of fire wood.

So, back to Cheetah3D, open the file saved yesterday.

This is how the bark side look when we still have our fire wood texture on it.

So, we create a material from the birch bark texture, and then we select all the polygons on the back of the fire wood, where we want the bark, and apply the birch material there

This is how it look before we have set it correctly with the UV-mapper.

Using cylinder UV-mapping, and adjusting the scale, it looks pretty darn good. This texture is good.

This is the pine texture, after applying UV-Mapping. Someone might ask why I didn’t bother to render bump maps for the bark, but I just thought that would not add anything really, but we might do that for the surprise log, later.

And here they are, two perfect pieces of fire wood, a little too perfect really, and tomorrow we’re gonna change that.
