So, common folks tableware, wooden tableware to be more precise. That is todays task. We will not finish today, but we learn how to make tableware.

So, start up Cheetah3D (or any other 3D modeling software of your choice).

ta6-01

Create a sphere/ball, and shape it like this, like a long egg.

ta6-02

Now, create a box and size it so it is larger than the egg, and that it cover the upper half of the egg. Use a boolean to remove the box. Do the usual copy scale and move trick, and use a boolean to remove the inside of the egg. You got a spoon shape again, fantastic, works every time.

ta6-03

Now, create a cylinder object and size it like a small long handle for the spoon. move the like above, and join them with a boolean operation. Add some texture, and we’re done, done with the spoon anyway. Now, we’re gonna make a wooden fork, that is a bit trickier, but I think I will surprise you all this time, so let’s go. First, create a box and shape it like a plank, like this.

ta6-04

Now, we use a modifier to give the plank a rounded waist.

ta6-05

Now we use another modifier (I always forget their names), to narrow down the handle edge of our wooden fork.

ta6-06

ta6-07

Now we use the same tool that made the waist, but turn ot 90 degrees, and move it so it wont affect the handle side, seeing where I’m going with this yet?

ta6-08

Now, we narrow down the forks a little so they point almost straight ahead.

ta6-09

We adjust the wood texture, the same we used for the knife handle and the wooden spoon.

ta6-10

Nice wooden tableware for our common farmer homes. What we need to make tomorrow I think are plates, wooden or clay plates, and clay pr wooden mugs, then we can make some tables. I know that any woman reading this now highly objects, that a table isn’t done until it has flowers on it, so we might need a vase of two, will come handy to decorate those wardrobes with also.
