So, we got tons of snow here, but I won’t make any snow textures or snowy objects, but a chimney will be OK. Maybe santa want to visit the happy dwarves too.
So, lets go, start up Cheetah3D again, and create a box this time.
Now, we clone it and make it smaller, much smaller, like this.
We then make three copies of the smaller one, and place them in a row. At the same time, we narrow down the first box so it looks a little more like a rectangular chimney.
We then boolean remove the three smaller ones from the larger one, to get three pipes for the smoke. So, we start up FilterForge to make a texture, and I found a new filter that someone had made that was perfect for this:
Texture map and bump map, looks like a typical santa magnet to me.
We render a smoke puff in FilterForge as well, and then put it all together using OmniGraffle.
So, ready for christmas!
