This time I need a sailing boat, a sailing tugboat to be more specific, that will tug barges on a lake.
So, we start our dear Cheetah3D again, and this time we will create a spine, that we draw like this.
Now, we use the sweep, and sweep this 360 degrees.
Interesting, a zeppelin, but wait, I will make a ship out of it, I promise. We create a big box and place it so it covers the upper half of the zeppelin.
We remove the box using a boolean, then we copy the remains, and move that upwards, and create another box and place it below the hull and remove the box with another boolean.
Then we resize the smaller hull shape a little.
Now we place the smaller one (with flat bottom) inside the larger one, and use a boolean to remove it.
And we got us a nice little ship hull.
We use one of my FilterForge filters, shipdeck multi-tiles, which renders ship planks with optional oakum in the gaps to create a nice texture for the hull.
Texture map and bump map.
Tomorrow we will finish this ship.
