Today we will be working with the other end of the never ending tavern, and it will basically be very much like the other side, but with different furniture.
We start OmniGraffle and get to work. Doing this is mostly digging in the large collection of items, search the Dundjinni forum, and making new items whenever you feel you miss something. It is populating an indoor map.
We start out by using some of greytale’s wonderful tavern tables and benches, they are, as everything greytale publish at The Nook, top notch.
But I feel I miss some table cloth, so I make a quick and dirty FilterForge filter to create some round table cloth, with some wrinkles.
So, little tavern like table cloth, at your service. Now, I use the fireplace preset I made with SuperCaptians fireplace some months ago, and this is the first of four C sections.
As you can see, this one is without backdoors, so if the bad guy want to run, he has to jump through a window.
For the second one, I used a lot of my items I’ve done over the past six months, and I also used some other items as well. I made a little kitchen, with a backdoor, and a curtain only for the doorway to the common room. Also, I added a staircase leading up to the second floor, which might, just might, indicate that I will make a second floor also, but that is later on. having a chair tipped over just added some realism to the map I think. Is that where the bad guy just sat?
The third one also have a staircase leading up, but also, one leading down to the basement. So now I probably need to make some basements also. Do I complain that I get myself into loads of new maps to make? Nope, did you really think I would?
So, I just got my hands on a huge preset set that Bogie have created and is now selling at ninegods, really good stuff, well worth it. So, for this third version, I used some preset tavern tables by Bogie, and a nice mod of the SuperCaptain fireplace.
For the third one, I first used some of Pedrovs tavern furniture presets, but I wanted a good indoor BBQ grill or something, in the open space. This is the kind of tavern where the chef makes the food “Beni-Hana”-style, while you watch.
But I didn’t find anything, so I will have to make one, tomorrow.
