More items for the never ending tavern to be made today. This project is pretty fun, and it is good to have a goal, make it publishing ready.

Today, I’m gonna show how I did some tavern tables, which involves FilterForge, Cheetah3D and OmniGraffle, as usual.

First we start FilterForge, using one of my wood filters, chopped wood, but configuring it to generate a darker wood texture. These are the textures I made. These textures are for some extra details, like legs and planks, the table itself will have another texture.

Now, I used my cottage log wall filter to generate a texture that looks like a real tavern table.

Now, we start Cheetah3D, and create a box, that we shape as the table surface to be.

We add two smaller boxes to the side, to give it a rough look, someone built this table fast, from rather rough material.

And this is how it looks when textures are added. We use the UV mapper to place the log texture so that we do not get half logs on the sides.

And here is one table, with legs.

And here is the table, flipped over by some tavern brawlers.

You can see the legs in this direction, and you can also see that I didnt bother to remap the UV, but that is something no one will notice.
Tomorrow, we keep making stuff.
