Today, stoves, red hot gloving stoves for making food in the tavern kitchens.
We start by making a few new textures, the same way we did yesterday, in FilterForge. I need a different looking texture for the stove than I had for the Fireplace yesterday. First, I make a clean version of the texture.
Then I run it through my soot filter.
And here is the bumpmap, used for both textures.
When I’m at it, in FilterForge, I render a new glowing coal texture.
So, now we start Cheetah3D, and make a stove. Basically, it is done by making a box, set a rather large polygon count, like 15x15x15, then copy shrink remove using a Boolean, as I’ve done so many times before. Now, I add texture to it, add a Relief object that I shrink to fit, and then add a bunch of boxes, shaped like bars, adding an old iron texture to them.
This is the top down view of the stove.
I also make a top for it. Now, render the bottom and the top separatly. And mount the stove in OmniGraffle, adding a lot of items to it, and some smoke.
And here it is, the chefs master stove. More stoves will be made tomorrow.
