Today, we’re gonna make some game tables for the tavern or inn, where the patrons can spend a pleasant evening before going to bed.
First, I use FilterForge to render two game boards using filters from the filter library. I start with a Ninemen morris game board that I think looks pretty good.
What more can we have? A Chess board will probably look good.
Now, I use one of the many tables created by the master of tables, Bogie, back at the Dundjinni forum. I assemble the game tables in OmniGraffle, adding a little drop shadow.
First the Ninemen morris game table.
And then the Chess table. Now, I add these to one of the tiles I’m making for The Neverending Inn – Tavern expansion. First the Ninemen morris game.
And last, the chess game table.
This adds some atmosphere to the tile, make them come alive. Tomorrow, we will be doing more stuff like this.
