Today, back to store dressing, and we’re gonna make a cloth store or market stand, so at first, we need some cloth, rolls of cloth.
I’ve used some I found at the Dundjinni forum, but I thought I’ll make some myself as it cannot be that difficult. OK, I have an idea that I wanna test.
We start OmniGraffle today, and I create a square polygon, and set the image fill to a jeans texture I’ve got, and turn of stroke.
Now, we create another polygon, set the fill to what we normally use for shadows, a linear from black 100% opaque to black 0% opaque.
We make a copy of it and rotate it 180 degrees, and place the copy next to the original.
Now, we set the polygon shape to something else. We could create a shape manually, but this shape was what trigged my idea.
So, using this shape, we get this:
An almost perfect roll of cloth, sloppy cut. I just copied this and then set new images for each of them, by just drag-n-drop them from my texture folder onto the object in OmniGraffle.
The keen eye will recognize most of these textures. Here I now got 15 rolls of cloth. I also made one set with only the roll part, and one set with a straight cut. Using he new shelves and tables I’ve got, I made a cloth store.
This is the dream store for any fantasy girl, or was that the magic store?
Tomorrow there will be something new, as always.
