I needed some new market stands, and I though small animals would be perfect for a fantasy market. Who knows what they do eat?

So, we start with Cheetah3D, and create a few boxes. We arrange them to make the top frame of the cage.

Adding some wood texture, built in, and finishing the top of the frame, and the sides.

Now, we add some bars, using a cylinder that we use the Array to repeat.

After we have set the correct number of repetitions, and moved it into place, we can copy it and cover the sides as well.

Now, for the smaller sides, we do the same thing, but another bar and a tighter array. We also create a bottom for the cage, and copy the top frame and place it at the bottom.

Now let us render some cages.

And some bottoms.

Now, we start OmniGraffle and start to assemble cages, using some animals found at the Dundjinni forum.

So, we got a bunch of caged animals, so lets see tomorrow what we can do with that.
