So, back to the Egyptian wine press, a real engineering masterpiece.

We start Cheetah3D again, and continue to build the wine press. We create a box, then shape it like a pole, and add a basic wood texture to it, one we have used many times before, the cottage wood. As you can see, it is still not UV-mapped.

After UV-mapping it looks much better.

Now, we create another box.

We shape it using the edges, to a triangular flat shape. This is how I interpreted the drawing, something to keep the poles from falling or moving when the tension in the press starts to increase.

Now, we place it at the foot of the pole, and rotate it 45 degrees.

We add the cottage wood texture to it as well. And copy it and place the other one rotated 45 degrees in the other direction along the y-axis.

Now, we copy this pole set and place the copy on the other side of the bowl.

So, a good start of the Egyptian wine press. We add the top bar as well, just copy one pole, rotate it and size it to fit, giving it just little less width.

This might be a good wine press.
