So, today we’re still making wine presses. I would love to taste the wine made from this one, after a year or so in a good old oak barrel.

This is what we got right now.

We need to add that twisted sack of fabric with the grapes in it today. First, we start FilterForge to make a texture for that grape juice soaked cloth, and I’m using on the the great cloth filters available, adding a grape juice color tint to it.

Now we start up Cheetah3D and get going. First we create a cylinder, that we bulge outwards.

Then we taper the edges to tighten them.

Now, we shape the whole package a little flatter. As you can see, I work outside the main press to be able to see and rotate without getting other things in the way.

Now, using the magnet tool, I punch a lot of round marks in the object, on both sides.

And, with the twist, we twist this a lot, many rotations, so this looks real twisted.

And here it is, in place with its texture added, in the todays render.

This is almost done, we add the final touches tomorrow.
