Today, its time to make an iron gate. Not a fantasy gate, but an old British gate.

So, start up Cheetah3D and create a box.

Shaping the box as a square pole, this will be a bar for the grate.

Now we add a ball at the top of the bar.

Then we create a cone, that we flatten almost like he top of a spear. the Victorian British loved these spear tipped fences and gates.

First, we make a copy of the bar, and move that copy out of the way. Then we Boolean union the ball, the bar and the top to one object, then we use the Array tool to make ten copies of it.

Now we take the copy of the bar, rotate it 90 degrees, and use another array tool to get those cross bars equally distributed.

We now use a Boolean union to merge the two objects.

We add that old metal texture to it, and here it is.

So, we got a gate, now what? That is kept a secret until tomorrow.
