Finally, it is time to assemble the actual market square from all the different pieces we have been making. First, I need some buildings and stores that surround the market square, or else it would not be a market square at all.
First,an old photo of the Egyptian village that I am trying to make, or use as inspiration.
We start with Cheetah3D today, as usual, creating a box.
We copy the box, then we shrink it a little before we flatten it out, like this.
Now we do a Boolean remove of the new box, and we get this.
Now, we start FilterForge to create a texture. For this building I will be a little opportunistic and use a brick wall texture made with one of my own filters.
And here is the OpenGL normal map.
And a render in Cheetah3D give us this.
I think this is a good start, a brick building, this will be a store.
