Still working on the map for All Guns Blazing, and I ned a fireplace, but a modern one.

So, no time to waste, jump in to Cheetah3D and create a Cylinder, where we set the edges to only eight, making it look like this.

Now, we use the Taper tool to shape it like a fireplace, or something like that.

For this, I thought of using a texture rendered in FilterForge with a filter created by the talented Sjeiti, Delfts blauw. First the texture map,

Now, it is a tiresome job to UV map this, but I do it a little fast and not very carefully. If you look at the middle section, you can see to the left, the polygons have been UV-mapped, but to the right is the original mapping made when the texture was applied.

Now, we create a Chimney using another Octagon Cylinder, where I set the division for the ends to three. I then selected the center polygons and just moved then down, creating an illusion of a deep pipe.

So, how will this look? The answer will come tomorrow.
