We’re back at the picnic table, and today We’re gonna solve the ugly texture problems, I hope. I think I could have usd some more intelligent mappings to make it less visible, but by having it visible it was ugly enough to be fixed.
We’re back with the picnic or camping table today, and today we’re gonna add some screws to keep it together. I know, but it will look much better, I promise.
I’ve been playing with one of my new DAZ toys, Carrara 8, which is a pretty nice 3D tool, specially the render engine makes very good results, and it can load all DAZStudio and Poser materials. Poser is still on the wish list, it is a little too expensive as a toy right now ($499), but Smith Micro usually run some good discounts from time to time.
I found a great tutorial at geekatplay for making a picnic table for Carrara 8, so I decided model that in Cheetah3D, and then move it over to Carrara 8 for rendering.
What is a hood without a nice chromed lid to fill in the cooling water, that at the same time is a monument of the car?

OK, I took a days rest from posting again, real life forces me to do that from time to time. I think I’ll stick to a bi-daily schedule, it is much more relaxing. Today we’re gonna try to make an engine hood.
