We’ve been playing using Roll20, but for a new game of Call of Cthulhu 7th edition modern, GM bought a Foundry server and one of the players is hosting it.

As Foundry supports live animated actor tokens, I decided to see how to render those in DAZ Studio, and it was very easy. Just set up an animation using the timeline, and render to video. Then use a converter to convert the movie to a .webm file.

Finally I can announce that GM Visual Aid for Mac OS X 10.6 beta can be downloaded and tested. This is a time limited beta that will expire in July 2011.

Please give me feedback, that’s what a public beta is for. The package contains a draft manual and some demo maps and images to play with.

Today it will be something far away from adventure creating, it will be about the other side of the screen.We who cannot draw those gorgeous character portraits that we sometimes see other players have, we can use 3D, 3D models and 3D tools to make us our character portraits, the same way I make NPCs.
